Why There’s No BBQ on Board Latchi Queen
If you’ve looked at boat trips leaving Latchi harbour, you’ll have noticed most of them make a point of the onboard barbecue. We don’t run one – not at lunchtime, not at any point in the day. That’s a question we get asked often enough that it’s worth answering properly, because it isn’t something we forgot to add. It’s a decision we made on purpose, and most of our guests tell us afterwards they’re glad we did.
Here’s the thinking behind it.
A choice, not a missing feature
A barbecue at sea sounds appealing on paper. In practice, on a hot day off the Akamas coast, a full cooked meal in the middle of the trip changes the shape of your day – and not always for the better. We’d rather give you a lighter, simpler day on the water, and let the boat itself be the reason you remember the trip. So instead of building the day around a meal, we built it around the things people actually come out here for: clear water, swim stops, room to relax, and a comfortable ride there and back.
