  • Three Trips a Day to the Blue Lagoon — Which One Is Yours?

Some decisions on holiday are hard.

This one isn’t. Latchi Queen sails to the Blue Lagoon three times a day, every day – so the only real question is when you want that first jump into clear water.

The Morning Cruise to the Blue Lagoon (10:30–13:00)

This is for early risers and families. The light on the Akamas coastline is at its cleanest, the water is calm, and you’re back in Latchi Harbour in time for a long lunch. If you’re travelling with children, this is usually the easiest slot of the day.

Why There's No BBQ on Board Latchi Queen
Latchi Queen, three trips per day to the blue lagoon in Cyprus

The Afternoon Cruise (14:00–17:00) is the classic blue lagoon cruise.

The sun is high, the lagoon is at its brightest turquoise, and the water is at its warmest. If you’ve seen photos of the Blue Lagoon that made you book a flight, they were probably taken at this hour.

The Sunset Cruise to the blue lagoon (17:00–20:00) is the one people don’t expect.

You still get your swim stop in the lagoon, but the return leg runs as the light softens over the Akamas Peninsula. Bring a camera. Or don’t, and just watch.

Every cruise is the same fare – €25 per person, €15 for children under 12 -and includes fruit juice, wine, fresh fruit and snorkelling gear. The route follows the Akamas coastline, the only official nature reserve in Cyprus, where loggerhead and green turtles breed through the summer months. Keep an eye on the water on the way out.

One thing you won’t find on board is a BBQ – and that’s deliberate.

We’ve explained why in this post, but the short version is: your time in the lagoon is for swimming, not queueing.
